"Worm" will never be forgotten by the track and cross country teams of the early-to-mid 70's. Unfortunately not the only bicyclist casualty among my friends from Lane. RIP Jim.

If someone can update the In Memory page, Navy Lt.Cdr. James Warmowski's date of passing was July 14, 2002 in Jacksonville, FL when he was struck by an impaired automobile driver while training on his bicycle for a triathlon. When I looked this up, a lot of memories came flooding back. I can't believe it's been that long since I heard the horribly bad news from some mutual friends on the Lane Tech track and cross country teams.

Grace and Arthur, thanks for the updated info on Worm. I can't add the actual month and date of his death on the site, just the year. I updated his birthdate and added a photo, and the link to the obituary that Arthur supplied. Thanks

Thanks to Arthur also, and thank you Peter for making the updates about our Worm. Such a tragic loss.

I remember Worm running the half mile in about 2 min and 10 sec.  Pretty good.
