Oh no Dr. Adam... this one is YOUR brainchild!!!  And you're right about the candles...

Maybe the Bicentennials who meet up in Mesa next weekend can start the ball rolling with some ideas.  We'll have 10 there.

Well, I would love to be a part of the 60 club but will I still be allowed as I am ONLY going to be 59 this coming Sunday? crying. But it WILL be my Beddian Birthday and I will be celebrating it in Houston this weekend visiting my best friend growing up (as his Beddian birthday was in January). No, he was not a Laneite unfortunately. I will be bringing my Lane Alumni hat and I will see if I can run across any Alumni during my journey.

So, if the Cubs win the World Series this year, that should mean that about 99.99999999% (or the remainder) of the Class of 76 will have had their Beddian Birthdays in a year the Cubs win the World Series. The majority of 76'ers got that distinction in 2016.

Great idea Michelle, our fearlesss and bold leader! Ken, We're in the 76'er's 59 Club! Youngsters. My excuse was that I was double promoted in grammar school from 2nd grade to 4th grade.

I believe the point is the majority of us will be 60 sometime this year, for me in November.

Sad news for our extended Bicentennial family...  John's Father, Ben Todesco, passed away this week after a long illness.  In an era when parental involvement at Lane was meager at best, Mr. Todesco was wonderfully present, and dedicated to supporting the football team and the school.  We extend our collective sympathies to John and the entire Todesco family.

Michelle,

Great idea about the EPIC 60th birthday party! I just hit that 6th decade of life on 2/22, and was in Iceland floating in the Blue Geothermal lagoon...it was awesome!

I admit, it feels a little weird to say, "I'm 60"...but on the other hand, it's a blessing with a lot of candles!!!!!!!!  Looking forward to seeing everybody!!

So … while I know it is way early, I'll nonetheless offer that this may be something to keep an eye-on and hold-out some good thought.

Last night … Gary Oldman  received an Oscar for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in “The Darkest Hour”.

Last night …. Jordan Peele won an Oscar for his screenplay of an independent thriller – ‘Get Out’.

A few years ago … a guy by the name of Anthony Jaswinski got some very favorable attention for his writing an independent thriller  – ‘The Shallows” (I remember it, I didn't see it, but, it starred Blake Lively and it currently has a 78% on Rotten-Tomatoes)

A few months back – in Sept.-Oct. 2017, Gary Oldman finished his work starring in a project – “Mary”, an independent thriller written by Anthony Jaswinski that is due for release this year – as directed by our very own Michael Goi (LTHS ’76).

At a recent Blackhawks game with my new BFF's #18, #9 and # 26 Kurt Walker, former right winger with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Even I could have scored on this line! LOL!
