I'm lucky if I can remember my own division # let alone who was in it without a reference picture but I'm willing to bet that you could tell me what division I was in.

I'm amazed that I have never forgotten mine, 674! I've never forgotten my childhood phone number either. For years I remembered my locker combination!

The Athletic Department and current girls basketball team are inviting all basketball alumnae to a special Alumni Night game on January 7th. Free admission and special recognition at the half for all former lady cagers. Now who were they? Hmmm..... I can only think of Jody Mihalek '75.

Hey Michelle, I was currious what the head count was for the Class of '75 reunion. Any updates on the Class of '76 reunion?

Michelle Milkovic (Weiner)

Hey Andrew.

Class of '75 did a great job.  They had about 50 people visit the LTAA office for a free open house on the Friday night of their reunion weekend. They offered light snacks and folks looked through the archives, got acquainted and bought a little merch.

The next morning they had their school tour. 100 alums and 25 plus-ones attended and even though they were confined to just the first floor, they had a great time.

Then Saturday night they had their formal event in Schaumburg for 225 peeps. I didn't get a picture of that.

While I don't want to speak for the whole '76 Reunion Committee, I believe we will have our catering confirmed very soon and ticket prices set so we can open registration in January. We're excited!

Hello all,

Wishing all of my classmates a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2026. WOW! 2026, our 50th year reunion! We were the class of 76, the Bicentennial class. There were some Bicentennial momentos that were made, like some coins and other things but did you know that there were Bicentennial AMC Pacers made in 1976 to celebrate our Bicentennial? I got the privilege of seeing one during one our classic car shows last summer. Here it is:

I know that were were talking about bringing some 1976 items for our 50th year reunion, but I am not sure I could get a hold of one of these to bring. SORRY!

Bob, If we don't cater in JITB, I'm going to bring my own for old time sake along with some onion rings!

I still enjoy a couple $1 tacos at 2am. When I'm not getting sliders.

Wishing Everyone a Merry & Blessed Twelve Days of Christmas and a Happy & Prosperous New Year

(Yes the 12 Days are for-real, they go from December 25th – Christmas Day to January 6th – The Feast of the Magi [3 Wisemen])

Interesting fact: The Class of 1976 (apx 1,250) was 84% Men and 16 % Women – That explains why it was so hard to get a date for prom – most every guy had to ‘go shopping’! LOL

Hey, I drove past Heros today and it looks like there is something going on in there.  There are a bunch of vehicles in the lot, new windows, and lights on inside the space. Rumor has it that it might be a pizza place despite having Dominos a half block to the south and Pete's Pizza 2 blocks north. Hard to tell from the questionable signage and mural. We'll see. They closed right after our 40th reunion. It would be ironic if they reopened right before our 50th!

Shocked that they didn't level it and put up condos/multi use building. I guess there would be room for parking there so choices for redevelopment were slim to none and or zoning issues because it is a weird sized lot. How long has Jersey Mike's subs been there? They're not bad but not quite the same is it? I think that it would be great if Jack in the Box would be allowed to claim their spot back!

Heads up Bicentennials! The LTAA is once again hosting our annual Spring Training event in Mesa, AZ.  This year it'll be a crosstown classic on March 1st.

The Classof 1967 has already registered 10 people (with spouses) threatening our record for the most attendees from a single class so I hope to see a few more 76ers sign up.

You can get tickets at www.lanetechalumni.org/events

Here's the flyer:

Wowee, thanks for letting us know, Michelle! The Cubs against the White Sox, I wanna be there!

Happy Christmas season and Merry New Year to all of the Class of 1976 from Reno, Nevada!

Unfortunately we will be traveling to Florida and will miss the Spring Training game but plan on going to the Class Reunion in September.

#1894 - Glad to hear you're going to attend the 50th Reunion, Mike Ozee! I don't believe I "knew you then," but look forward to meeting you and your spouse. (If we did know each other, please remind me!)

Bob Cole, happy birthday and thanks for being such a great friend.

Michelle, I saw that Ian Fujimori's "In Memory" posted and he passed 3 years ago. Does anyone know why we lost Ian so young? That In Memory list is getting way too long. Take care of yourselves, people.

#1894 Hey Mike Ozee, I echo Grace's comment and glad you'll be coming in for the reunion.  My wife Janet (a 76 alum)) and I are also coming in from Florida.

We'll have more details to share after our reunion committee meets next week.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in September.

#1894 Hey Peter. One of my daughters lives in Bradenton so we know the area. We will be visiting in late Feb to scout out the area for her wedding and we are planning on moving to The Villages later this year.

Hey everybody, I'm working on our winter alumni magazine which is all about sports and specifically, an article about our rivalries. Greg Znajda, we'll use your "Beat Schurz" button for sure but I need help from others. I'm looking for any kind of memorabilia about Gordon Tech... especially if it's less than complimentary. ;)

There's not much I can find on the internet.

Any help appreciated!

Hey Class of 76!  The BIG 50 Reunion event is quickly approaching!!

As a reminder, events begin on September 18 with an informal open house at the LTAA  Alumni Office, continue the next morning September 19 with a school tour, and culminate later that night from 6:00pm-10:00pm  in the big event held at The Fairway in Niles. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet including carving stations, an open bar, a beautiful patio and more.

Come on out and meet-up and re-connect with some fellow alums. This is a milestone event not to be missed.

To register and for more information, just click on the 50th Reunion tabs to the left. Register by May 1 and get the early bird savings and save $5.00 per ticket.

Well, our 50th Reunion Event Registration link just went live a few hours ago, and we already have alums signed up for the open house, school tour, and banquet event.  Way to go 76ers!

As a reminder, the registration link is in the site directory to the left of this page.  Looking forward to seeing fellow 76ers in September.
